One decision per burst.
The best of every burst.
Similar shots stack into one tile and the strongest frame gets suggested stars. Twelve near-identical frames become one decision.
Ratings that fit the shoot.
Everyday for family snapshots, Enthusiast for keen photographers, Portfolio for photos you print. Memories gives every place in a trip its own best shots.
Nothing moves until you say so.
Preview every move, keep originals untouched, and revert in one click.
How it works
From full card to keepers in one sitting.
- 1
Open a shoot.
Choose a folder of RAW, JPEG or HEIF photographs, or drop it on the window.
- 2
Review the suggestions.
Culliper groups bursts and duplicates and suggests stars for the best shot in each. Compare alternatives at 100% and rate from the keyboard. Your rating always wins.
- 3
Organise.
Picks, Picks-Alternates, Review and Outtakes become plain folders inside the shoot. Check the plan, then move.
- 4
Edit anywhere.
Open your picks in Lightroom, Capture One, Photos or any other editor.
Photo Profiles and Memories
Suggestions that match what you shot.
Photo Profiles
Every folder gets a Photo Profile. Everyday is forgiving: only clear technical failures lose stars. Enthusiast balances technical limits with an even aesthetic mix. Portfolio is strict and ranks mostly with the advanced aesthetics model. Duplicate one to make your own.
Memories
Memories is for trips and family archives in subfolders: every subfolder gets its own share of 5 and 4 stars, so each place keeps its best shots, and only very blurry photos are left out.
Built to be trusted
Clear reasons. Safe moves. Private by design.
See the reasons
Every photo lists what shaped its stars: sharpness, clipped highlights and shadows, horizon tilt, face quality, ISO and overall photo quality. After 50 of your ratings Culliper offers to weight its suggestions your way, once it has checked the new weights predict ratings it hasn’t seen.
Organise without risk
Nothing is deleted, overwritten or renamed. RAW+JPEG pairs and XMP sidecars move together. A file already at the destination is skipped and reported. Revert the last organisation or return everything to the main folder in one step; moves are journaled, so an interruption leaves nothing half done.
Private by design
No account. No upload. No subscription. Culliper can’t connect to the internet: it has no network permission, and macOS enforces it. Analysis runs on your Mac with Apple’s Vision framework and two models included in the app. Even photo locations are named from a place list built into the app. The App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected”.

Questions and answers
Does Culliper upload my photos?
No. It has no network permission at all, and macOS enforces that.
Which cameras does it support?
RAW from Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, OM System, Panasonic, Pentax, Leica, Hasselblad, Phase One, Sigma and more, plus JPEG and HEIF.
Does it delete anything?
Never. It moves files only after you confirm the plan, and every move can be undone.
Does it work with Lightroom or Capture One?
Your picks are plain folders of untouched originals that any editor opens. Culliper keeps its ratings in its own database; it does not write them into XMP files.
Can it read my Apple Photos library?
No. Copy your card to a folder and open that.
Is there a subscription?
No. Try it free for 14 days, then pay once.
Does it run on Intel Macs?
No. Culliper needs a Mac with Apple silicon and macOS 15 or later.
